I love the internet, honestly! I am not quite sure how it all came about, but, somehow I came across Ben either through Tumblr or Facebook, I don’t recall which. I have been following his blog for many years and I decided to say something while I was planning a DC trip, where he lives. I am quite reserved and can be extremely shy at times and one evening I was pretty heavily medicated and decided just to say ‘we’re meeting’.
The plan was to meet at a friend of his birthday celebrations up in Mt. Pleasant and it turned out really great!
I would really like to write more. I even went to lunch and came back but I am just so unmotivated right now. Basically, he is a really great guy and you should follow him - he is more deserving of this word spit above.

I believe that this was the first and last photo that I took of the night. After that I was sippin ‘Fiesta’s’ and singing Karaoke. The camera was left out and the story goes that people were snapping photos…the way it should be. I am so happy that it happened naturally.
A great meeting of guys - such a great night. A celebration of Josh’s birthday and of life.

I was just about to wrap up and I was up on the steps of the Supreme Court when I was coming down saw these two kids holding a sign. I asked their father if I could take their photo and he a bit hesitantly said ‘yes’.

I really wish that I had written his name down. I had noticed him prior at the rally being interviewed. Later after I had walked off to go meet up with my friend Laura I was walking west towards the Capitol and came across him again. I asked him if I could take his photo and as you can see, he agreed. He shook my hand and told me of his name and yet I still did not write it down.
